음과양 평대리

우디킴 작가는 평대리 폐가 주변의 지역 주민들을 직접 만나 소통하고 그들의 인생 이야기, 고민, 삶의 철학 등을 인터뷰하였습니다. 주민분들이 들려주는 이야기를 통해 작가 스스로 해석과 서사를 형성하고, 이를 설치작품에 담아내려 합니다. 구좌읍의 기억과 지역 주민들의 인생을 예술과 빛으로 이어, 외면 받는 어두운 공간인 폐가를 밝혀냅니다.

Yin & Yang Pyungdaeri

Woody Kim has interviewed residents around Pyungdaeri to find out stories and philosophy behind them. Based on these stories, Woody Kim has created new interpretations. These new narratives will be interwoven into a work of art. This work then will be installed in a once-abandoned house of Pyungdaeri, with lightings. The memory of people of Pyungdaeri are connected into light and art, and will brighten the home.
